Air Indo Airlines Receives NOC to Establish Offices at All Airports Across India
Milestone regulatory clearance positions airline for nationwide operations ahead of planned May 2027 commercial launch
HYDERABAD, 31 October 2026 — Air Indo Airlines, India's emerging regional carrier headquartered in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, today announced that it has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the relevant regulatory authorities to establish offices at airports across India. This landmark clearance marks a decisive step in the airline's journey towards commencing commercial operations, targeted for May 2027, subject to receipt of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) and Air Operator Permit (AOP) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Air Indo Airlines receives NOC to establish offices at airports across India — a landmark regulatory milestone.
The NOC to establish offices at all Indian airports enables Air Indo Airlines to set up ground operations infrastructure, station personnel, and begin coordination with Airport Authority of India (AAI) and private airport operators nationwide. This is a critical regulatory milestone that precedes the airline's application for an Air Operator Permit (AOP), which will authorise the commencement of scheduled commercial passenger services.
Air Indo Airlines is purpose-built to serve India's underserved Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with an initial focus on Andhra Pradesh — connecting Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Kadapa — and expanding to destinations including Goa. The airline will operate a modern fleet of ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft, renowned for their fuel efficiency, reliability, and suitability for shorter runways at regional airports.
Founded by Mr. Srinivas Chilukuri, Air Indo Airlines is backed by a leadership team with deep expertise in aviation operations, regulatory compliance, and regional infrastructure development. The airline's vision is to democratise air travel in India by making it accessible, affordable, and reliable for millions of passengers currently underserved by the national aviation network.
"Receiving the NOC to establish offices across India is a defining moment for Air Indo Airlines and for regional aviation in our country," said Mr. Srinivas Chilukuri, Founder and CEO of Air Indo Airlines. "We are now actively working towards obtaining our NOC and AOP from DGCA, and we remain firmly on track for our May 2027 commercial launch. Our mission is to connect every corner of India — and this milestone brings us one significant step closer to that goal."
The airline is currently in advanced discussions with airport operators across India to finalise office space, ground handling arrangements, and operational infrastructure. Air Indo Airlines has also initiated the process of fleet induction, crew recruitment, and safety management system implementation in accordance with DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements (CARs).
